Fall is one of my favorite seasons ever! The leaves are changing colors, it’s getting cooler outside…I’m just loving it! I’ve been looking for some easy classroom door decorations that I can use for fall and here are some of my favorites:

Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year. The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling down and the kids are back in school! It’s also a great time to decorate your classroom door. Here are some simple ideas that you can use to make your classroom door look great for back to school!
1. Handprint leaves

The beginning of the school year is a great time to start decorating your classroom door. It’s a fun way to welcome students and parents into your room, and it can help them remember where they are when they come in late.
Here are some ideas for decorating your classroom door:
Use the colors of the season and have students write their name on a leaf or acorn. The leaves or acorns will be hung on a string between two nails or hooks. You could also use this idea for winter by having students write their name on an ornament instead of a leaf or acorn.
Have students draw pictures of themselves at school, then print out copies and put them on display around the door. This is especially effective if you’re teaching students with special needs who may not be able to write their names well yet or if there are lots of different languages being used in the classroom.

Happy Fall, my friends! Are you ready? Are you excited? Are you ready to decorate your classroom door? Because I am! And today I’m sharing some fun (and easy!) ideas for decorating those doors in your classroom.
First up is this super cute banner that was created using a template from The Graphics Fairy and printed on cardstock paper using an inkjet printer. The colors were chosen based on what we had in stock at our local office supply store (we used red, orange and yellow), but if you’re looking for something specific then check out this link where there are several different colors available.

The classroom door is a great place to decorate! It’s one of the first things your students will see when they come into your classroom, so you want it to be welcoming and fun. Here are some of my favorite ideas for decorating the classroom door:

Using a fall theme is always a good idea. Since I teach high school English, I like to decorate with pumpkins and leaves. My students love seeing their names on the pumpkin tree or on their leaf name tags. They also enjoy reading the books that we read over the year on our book tree in our hallway.
Easy Classroom Door Decorations
You can make these decorations yourself or purchase them from your local craft store or Amazon.com (affiliate link). You’ll need some foam board (usually found in the art section), paint markers, and some yarn or ribbon for hanging them up. You can even use these supplies to make other decorations like bulletin boards and pin boards!

– If your school has lockers, decorate them with fun pictures or sayings from movies or books that you are reading this year.

– Use chalkboard paint on the bottom of each student’s desk and write their names on the boards with chalkboard markers. This will make it easier for you to see who is missing if they get up without permission!
– Use push pins to hang up photos of your students with their families, pets, etc. You can also attach ribbons around the push pins so they look like bunches of flowers hanging from the ceiling!
September is the month of new beginnings and fresh starts. It’s a time to look forward to the new school year and all the possibilities it holds.

If you have been wanting to try out dry erase boards but don’t want to spend the money on them yet, this is a great way to do so without having to worry about buying expensive whiteboards. You can use chalkboard paint on any paneling or wood that you have in your classroom. Just make sure that whatever surface you use has been sanded down so that it’s smooth enough for writing on with chalk. You could also use regular blackboard paint if you don’t mind having it be permanent
Back to School is a great time to get your classroom ready for the year. The best way to make your classroom feel like home is by making it personal and fun. You can do this by adding a door decoration or bulletin board.

1. Welcome Sign: Welcome students with a welcome sign on the door. You can use this as a place for students to write or draw messages, or even leave sticky notes for you about their day.
2. Quote: Add a quote about school or learning, such as “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.” ― John Dewey
3. Class Rules: Create an easy way for students to remember classroom rules by placing them on the door with magnets or tape so they can be easily removed and put back up when needed.
