Without further ado, here’s the recipe—straight from Woody’s Lunch Box—courtesy of the Disney Parks blog. This recipe makes enough for a family of 4.

Ingredients

For the Cream Cheese Spread:

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Double Gloucester or cheddar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt

For the Garlic Spread:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt

For the Sandwiches:

  • 8 slices of artisan bread
  • 8 cheddar cheese slices
  • 8 provolone slices

Step 1: Make the cream cheese spread

First, you’ll want to make the cream cheese spread. In a food processor, combine the cream cheese, Double Gloucester or cheddar, heavy cream and salt. Blend the mixture until it’s smooth and set aside.

Editor’s Tip: No food processor? No problem. You can also mix these ingredients in a blender. Or, in a pinch, simply mix ’em together in a bowl. The cheese will melt once it hits the griddle.

Step 2: Prep the garlic spread

To really take these sandwiches to the next level, you’re going to make another spread. This time, combine the mayonnaise, garlic and salt in a small bowl. Stir until blended and set aside.

Step 3: It’s sandwich time

Now comes the fun part—building the sandwiches! Lay out the bread slices on parchment paper or a large cutting board. Place two slices of cheddar on four of the bread slices. Then, place two slices of provolone on the other four slices. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the four bread slices that have provolone. Finish by pairing each provolone slice with a cheddar slice and pressing together to form a sandwich.

Step 4: Grill ’em up

Once your sandwiches are assembled, heat a large skillet over medium heat until hot. Then, brush both sides of the sandwiches with garlic spread. Grill—for about two minutes on each side—until the cheese is melted and the bread is a toasty, golden brown.

For a true park experience, pair your sandwich with a side of “potato barrels” (also known as tater tots) and a showing of Toy Story!
