Supplies

  • Cardstock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Crayons or markers (if using the color in version)
  • Groundhog template (click the “click here to get this freebie” image at the end to open the form)

Directions

Download the groundhog template, print, and cut out the pieces you need.

Begin by gluing the eyes at a slight angle, right on top of the nose.

Next, glue the inner ears to the outer ears on both sides.

Glue the teeth just below the smile line.

Finish off the base of the headband by gluing the grass to the bottom of the groundhog.

Tape or staple one headband extender on each side to fit your child’s head, and you’re done!
