A comprehensive high school curriculum should include math, language arts, science, social studies and a number of electives. The goal of a high school education program is to prepare students for the next phase of their lives after high school, regardless of what that may be, whether it’s furthering their education or going right into the workforce.

Time4Learning provides an online high school curriculum for students that teaches using an interactive, engaging approach. The flexible, self-paced program is designed so that students can work independently and progress at their own pace as they learn new concepts.

How Does Time4Learning’s High School Curriculum Work?

Time4Learning High School is organized by courses rather than grade levels, however we have common coursework information organized by grade below. After signing up, parents choose the courses for their student.

The flexible, student-paced curriculum allows your child to log in and learn on their time—perfect for older students looking for more independence or who have unique schedule needs such as internships and extracurriculars. Students have plenty of opportunity to nail down complex topics with the option to redo lessons and even retake tests and quizzes.

If a course seems too easy or too challenging, then parents are free to make changes as necessary. For added student support, parents also have the option to select eighth-grade math and language arts, as well as any of the middle school science, social studies, and elective courses which are not grade-specific.

What Tools Are Included for Time4Learning Parents?

How Do I Finish Time4Learning’s High School?

Credits. Time4Learning is a curriculum tool to be used by the student, while the homeschool parent remains the official teacher of record. Time4Learning does not assign credits to courses; however Time4Learning’s automated system tracks the amount of time students spend on the online lessons. This feature can help parents estimate the value of the courses based on how much time students spend on their assignments.

Graduation. It is up to the parent to compare Time4Learning with state standards to ensure that graduation requirements are satisfied. Because Time4Learning is not a school, students do not graduate from Time4Learning. Instead the home in which they learn is considered the school students will graduate from. Time4Learning students are welcome to join our community graduation celebration each May!

Does Time4Learning Issue Diplomas and Transcripts?

Time4Learning is not a school, so we cannot keep or issue diplomas or transcripts. But Time4Learning’s automated system manages your student’s lesson progress, grades their work, and maintains reports that can all be included in homeschool portfolios or used to create transcripts.

We do offer a guided transcript template that parents can download and fill out for record-keeping. As the homeschool teacher of record, a parent can officially issue their diploma! All 50 states in the U.S. allow parents to issue a homeschool diploma to a child they feel has met or exceeded the guidelines for graduation. To check comparable public school graduation requirements, check your state Board of Education website.
